Meet Our Founder
MAR was founded by Taylor, an animal owner and breeder of Caucasian Shepherds who has spent much of her life surrounded by animals.
Over the years, Taylor saw how easily important information about an animal could become scattered. Veterinary records might be in one place, vaccination information somewhere else, while photographs, documents, feeding instructions and years of an animal’s history could be spread between paperwork, phones and computers.
She kept coming back to one thought:
There has to be an easier way to keep an animal’s important information together.
When the Idea Became Personal
That idea took on a much deeper meaning after Taylor and her husband, Greg, experienced a frightening incident while driving home from work and came very close to losing their lives.
It left Taylor thinking about the animals they loved and cared for.
If something happened to us, who would take care of our animals?
Who would they go to? Would those people know how Taylor and Greg wanted them cared for? Would they know their routines, their needs and where to find the important information about them?
Those were difficult questions, but they helped shape the idea behind My Animal Record.
Taylor wanted to create something that could help animal owners keep important information together throughout an animal’s life—and help them be better prepared for the unexpected.
Why MAR Exists
MAR grew from that original idea into something designed for people who share the same responsibility Taylor understands firsthand: caring for animals that depend on us.
Whether an animal is a treasured family companion, part of a farm or ranch, a working animal, an animal being raised or trained, or one waiting for a new home, its life has a story and information worth keeping.
My Animal Record was created to help keep that information organized, accessible and connected to the animal it belongs to.
Because animals are more than information in a file.
They are part of our families, our farms, our work and our lives.
And the information that helps us care for them should be there when it’s needed.
